"There, at the local post office in my P.O. Box was a slip -- to pick up 'something' at the parcel window. COULD IT BE -- YES IT WAS -- My THRIFTY SIGN. I couldn't wait to get home to open it. IT'S BEAUTIFUL -- I don't want to put it on my car -- I WANT TO HANG IT ON MY WALL --
I want to waste precious local gas (now at $2.25 per gallon, 87 octane unleaded) to drive around SO THAT PEOPLE CAN ADMIRE MY BEAUTIFUL THRIFTY SIGN. There is nothing THRIFTY about this sign -- yes, the PRICE IS THRIFTY -- but the sign looks like a million! Also, I thought that was a nice professional touch to enclose an instruction sheet about care of the sign. I could go on and on. And I often do … Thank your excellent DESIGN TEAM for me -- I recommend you double their salary RIGHT AWAY! I plan to wash and wax the car this weekend to make it as pretty as my new THRIFTY sign. I want to take a picture of SIGN, me, and car (in that order of priority). Maybe I'll send you one someday (when I finish that roll of film) -- BUT FOR NOW, PLEASE ACCEPT MY HEARTFELT THANKS."
